Oh, how in LOVE with this book I am!!!

We read it as a family and just adored the characters, the story and this amazing world Ms. Cowell created.

I can only hope to be 1/2 the writer she is someday (soon)!!

The story focuses on two main characters —— Xar, the soon-to-receive-his-powers wizard boyband Wish, the soon-to-be-strong warrior girl. Taught from an early age that the world is wizard vs. warrior, they are pitted against one another from their first encounter.

Luckily for us, they are forced into an adventure filled with delightful creatures, like snow cats and thoughtful giants, and not so savory characters like Wish’s hard nosed Queen mother.

Cressida Cowell is the dreamer, creator and author of How To Train Your Dragon, and I guarantee we’ll be seeing this book hit the big screen! How could it not?

And did I mention the illustrations?

What’s not to love about a booked filled with pages of great story and wonderful drawings?

We spent evenings enjoying this book and looking at her creations by pencil on paper.
