A fun morning at a ropes and rock climbing course!!
This activity is not for the feint of heart. I didn't go into too much detail on exactly what they were going to be doing ---- just a little outline. When they saw the course, their jaws hit the floor and there was some very nervous chatter --- ranging from which My Little Pony would be able to do this course well to a flat out, "I'm not doing it".
But these are the type of things that build you up. Give you confidence. And allow you to use these skills in other ways.
There were some jelly legs.
There were some "I can'ts"
There were some tears.
And at the end of the course?
It was all smiles and pride.
The tall Rock Wall looked like a piece of cake!
Let me wipe a tear from my eye.....
These are the days!! Here's to growing up a little bit more today!
I know...I know....we should be professional movers at this point.
But some lovely friends moved out of an amazing place in town and we were feeling that maybe "Living Tiny" wasn't working out as well as we'd planned. The apartment had seemed like a really good idea "on paper". And I felt lucky that it had a back deck, a small yard-like space, buuutttt.......what looked like a big-ish place became small when two adults, two kids and a 70 lb dog lived there.
So.....we were thrilled when the house we're in now became available.
No.....it's not the one in the picture.
That's just our summer home.....hahaha.
I'll be putting our new address into the mail soon so that I can get everyone's holiday cards!!
And if you need any packing tips......let me know.
Back to some ice skating lessons. Love that the rink is so close!
Can't believe he's still "OK" with wearing this hat!
