Well, I knew this month was going to be crazy.....and it has been. Between juggling the Gift Show and helping with Emily's show --- it's been hectic.
The Little Mermaid has been wonderful and I'm so proud of Emily!!
Here's a pic of the excitement backstage, right as the show is about to begin.....
The kids were so amped up!
And the lights went down, the director gathered them all for a quite cheer and the show went on.......
Prince Eric, Grimsby and the sailors sing Fathoms Below!
The little Mermaid and Flounder find Scuttle
She's in Love.....(a number not from the movie)
The boat Brian built!!
Sea Creature number 4!!!
The Sea Creatures wait for a kiss so Ariel can remain a human!
Final scene --- Triton and Sebastian are in trouble!
I've probably shown too much ---- I hope you can go see it. SO MUCH work has gone into this play, you wouldn't believe it. From making sure Emily got to many, many practices to helping to create some of the set pieces to volunteering back stage. It is the most wonderful community of families. And some of these kids are on their way to a career in the theatre or music. It's been a huge commitment and we decided as a family to do it because Emily has enjoyed herself so much.
Thanks, in advance, if you do get to go!!
