Such a wonderful way to celebrate the New Year! We traveled up to Seattle and visited our friends The Reillys!!
Terri and I went to Junior High School together!! It's funny how I don't feel like we've changed much over the years. Of course, we've changed A LOT! Careers, husbands, kids.....but the sign of a true friendship shows that no matter what ---- we continue to find ways to stay close!
This was our home away from home! A snug cabin tucked into a gorgeous snowy hillside.
I can't get over how beautiful it looked! We haven't seen snow like this in ages!!!! Fir trees drooping from the weight of the snow, icy streams and icicles dangling from run off!
Here's the lake down the street. Gorgeous!!!
If you're wondering where William is ---- sledding accident put him a bit out of sorts, so he chose to stay in the warm car.
There was sledding! OH, So much sledding!!
Yes....there was even NIGHT sledding!
Even an outdoor crackling fire! I love the mentality of "winter folk" ---- they seem to say, sure it's below zero, but why should that stop us from having some fun? That's why God made REI!
We even splurged for a sleigh ride! With a pit stop for hot cider!
